The GoComics comment tool is underneath each comic strip on its individual page or on your My Comics pages.
To join the conversation, make sure you're signed into your GoComics account. Once you're signed in, you can type your comment into the field provided, react to other users’ comments with a thumbs-up, or reply directly to their messages.
GoComics is committed to fostering a community where readers can engage in thoughtful and respectful conversations and share their love of comics in a safe and welcoming environment. To support this goal, all users are expected to follow our comment policy, which is always available at the top of each comment section.
How to comment from your My Comics page
You can read and post comments directly from your My Comics page. Here’s how:
- Go to any My Comics page. (Click on My Stuff in the upper-right corner of the screen and choose which page you want to navigate to.)
- Click the speech bubble icon under the comic you wish to comment on. The number next to it indicates how many comments it has.
- The comments panel will open and display all current comments.
- To add your own comment, type your message into the text box beneath your username.
- Click Send to post your comment.
*Emoji's can be added to your comments with these steps:
- On a Mac, it's Control + Command + Space
- On a PC, press Windows+period (the plus isn't actually pressed, just windows key and the period key)
Who Can Comment
Anyone can read the comments, but only registered members or subscribers can post comments. Not a member yet? Click here to sign up, or use the prompts directly in the comment section to sign up or log in (pictured below).
Reporting and Moderation
If you see a comment that violates our community guidelines, registered users and subscribers can report it by clicking the “report” link beneath and to the right of the comment in question.
Please note that comments containing banned words, external links, or content that violates our policy may not appear on the site.
Commenting Features
Once you're logged in, you’ll have access to a variety of tools designed to enhance your commenting experience:
- Notifications: Click the bell icon in the upper right corner to see replies or mentions from other users.
- Comment history: Access your recent comment history and comment-specific data by clicking the bell icon (in the upper right corner).
- Sorting options: By default, comments are sorted by “Newest”. You can also change the view to “Oldest,” “Most Replied,” or “Most Liked”.
- Moderation tools: Hover over a comment to reveal the option to report it. You can mute users by clicking on their display name and selecting the “mute” option that is beneath the display name in the tray on the right.
