GoComics uses OpenWeb to power the comments section, including your notifications—handy alerts that let you know when someone interacts with your comments.
How do I find notifications?
On any comic page, scroll to the comments section, which is beneath the comic strip. Above the comment text field, you’ll see a bell icon on the right. If you have any unread notifications, a dot will appear on the bell. Click the bell to open all notifications. Click it again to hide them.
What do notifications alert me about??
Notifications alert you when:
- Someone replies to your comment
- Another user likes your comment
- There are updates on a comment thread you’re part of
How do I view past notifications?
Click the bell icon above the comment box. A dropdown menu will appear showing your recent activity. Scroll down to view earlier notifications.
Can I turn off notifications?
No. At this time, notifications can’t be turned off.
Why am I not receiving notifications?
If you’re not seeing notifications, check the following:
- Make sure you're signed into a registered or Premium GoComics account.
- Confirm that you're logged into your OpenWeb account by clicking “Log In” above the comment field. You'll be automatically signed in through your GoComics credentials.
- If notifications or comments aren’t loading, try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache.
