GoComics uses VIafoura to power the comments section, including your notifications—handy alerts that let you know when someone interacts with your comments.
How do I find notifications?
On any comic page, scroll to the comments section, which is beneath the comic strip. Above the comment text field, you’ll see a bell icon on the right. If you have any unread notifications, a number will appear on the bell. Click the bell to open all notifications. Click anywhere outside the notifications to hide them.
What do notifications alert me about?
Notifications alert you when:
- Someone replies to your comment
- Another user likes your comment
- There are site broadcasts
How do I view past notifications?
Click the bell icon above the comment box. A tray will appear from the right showing your recent activity (“Feed”). Scroll down to view earlier notifications (up to 40 notifications are saved).
Can I turn off notifications?
No. At this time, notifications can’t be turned off.
Why am I not receiving notifications?
If you’re not seeing notifications, check the following:
- Make sure you're signed into a registered or Premium GoComics account.
- Confirm that you're signed into your Viafoura account by clicking “Log In” above the comment field. You'll be automatically signed in through your GoComics credentials.
- If notifications or comments aren’t loading, try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache.
